Meet Danielle

As a photographer you often will find me with a camera in hand. What you might not know is that I am also the Captain of the Local Fire Brigade and from time to time you will find me climbing on a Fire Truck instead.

Working in Emergency Services has given me a unique perspective on photos and the value they hold.

Time and time again I have seen that when people are faced with losing everything, the first thing they want to save are the family photographs.

Not because they are expensive.

Because they are irreplaceable.

More than once I have salvaged a smoke-stained album from a bookshelf or rescued a treasured photograph from the wall of a fire damaged home. Moments like this have shaped the way I approach photography.

I am less interested in creating perfect, heavily posed images and more interested in documenting connection, preserving memories and capturing the people you love exactly as they are.

Because one day these photographs will become part of your family’s history.

They will be passed between generations, displayed on walls, tucked into albums and poured over around kitchen tables for generations to come. Long after the day itself has passed, they’ll remain as a reminder of the people and the time that once was.

That’s why I love taking your photos.
